Important - Norah Jones Concert postponed
06-Jul-20107th July: Additional note: There are websites showing the tour dates in different countries by Norah Jones during July and August. However, Norah has cancelled a number of concerts she was performing in, but the tour venues on those websites have not been amended. Norah, an enthusiast of Cape Verdean music and a friend of Cesaria Evora decided she would like to take some time off from touring but wanted to visit the islands of Cape Verde and also perform here at the same time. Mayra Andrade was also to perform at these concerts.
The organisers of the concerts in Cape Verde are still looking at dates to re-schedule the concert on Santiago and Sal.
6th July: With much regret, the organisers need to inform everyone that due to logistical problems, the Norah Jones concerts planned for this weekend have had to be postponed.
The equipment should have arrived on both islands at the beginning of the week, but this did not happen. All are disappointed but it was felt that this was the best course of action due to the transport delays.
The organisers are trying to re-programme the concerts for the end of July (possibly), but this has to be confirmed with the artist and management, or another suitable date chosen.
