Someone once told me that I wouldn't buy blind in the UK, so why would I do this in another country? Buying blind is what I refer to as buying something without knowing if it is the right thing, even if it does come with an artists impression or a photo.

Buying blind is what I refer to as buying something without knowing if it is the right thing, even if it does come with an artists impression or a photo.
Buying something that costs a lot of money without seeing the goods, looking to see what the other options are, value for money, the right thing for you are things you can’t be 100% sure of.
However, with more research, viewing the goods, testing the goods and checking it is the right thing for you, you will be increasing or decreasing the percentage.
This still may be difficult even if arriving on the island and being shown a piece of land that has little or nothing on it yet. It may be hard to imagine how the project will finally look, however at least you can rest knowing where it is exactly. You can also ask to see confirmation that all the approval documentation is available and talk to the people who work for the development, not just the Agent. Pay a visit to the Camara Municipal and look to see the plans for roads and plots. You may need someone to translate at the Camara Municipal. You shuld also consider getting a lawyer to do some research.
