Why I didn’t buy over the internet
I started to look at properties over the internet in June 2005. I came across a number of websites that were selling property in Cape Verde and I made some enquiries about the various properties they had for sale in Cape Verde.

I was contacted by a few agencies. One agency was more persistent with their follow up calls and emails and at the time I felt they were pressurising me into buying.
Some Agents will be quick to send you a Reservation Pack, and press you to sign and return it a.s.a.p. One Agents fees were 3000 euros plus IVA per plot (3,480 euro) for a Studio Apt.
The artist impression of off plan developments did look good on the websites, but why should I trust people I didn't know who were trying to sell me property over the internet?
I also spoke to people who had either been to Sal or had bought in other countries. There seemed many more things that needed consideration so I felt it was best to go and take a look to see what was available, I was glad I went.
You get a feel for the place and you get to see more apartments. Its much better than buying blind.
