The Expats Cape Verde website
has been set up to provide an additional service to Expats living and
working in Cape Verde. It is aimed at English speaking people who wish
to use this service to communicate or advertise. ‘Expats’ includes
people from other countries other than the UK. Within
this site you will find blogs, a forum and Yellow-E-Service (similar to
Yellow Pages). Within the Yellow Pages you can find contact details of
people and businesses for Cape Verde. There will also be advertisement facilities available for Developments and Real Estate Agencies to advertise within the site. The
Expat Newsletter will also be available online here. This Newsletter
started circulation in December 08, and after 6months will now be made
available on-line within this website. A recent newsletter has been
included within that page so that people can view the type of
information that has been included previously by a number of
Restaurants and Bars owners as well as other businesses or people
living and working on Sal Island, Cape Verde. Information will vary as
this depends on what subject matter is supplied by Expats, hopefully it
will also include some info from the other Cape Verde islands. The
Cape Verde Islands have become more popular with British, Irish,
European tourists and travelers who are able to take advantage of some cheap
direct flights to Cape Verde for holidays. Obviously some flights will
be more expensive during the holiday periods, but there are still some
bargains to be found especially at the last minute. There are a range
of hotels and accommodation from which you can choose on Sal Island and
some of the other bigger islands such as Santiago and Sao Vicente. The
smaller islands of Santo Antao, Boavista, Maio, Fogo, Brava, Sao
Nicolau will have fewer hotels to choose from. There
is more rental accommodation on the island of Sal, as it is the main
tourist island within Cape Verde. The climate is good with plenty of
warm to hot sunny days and is ideal for some winter sun. Sal has lovely
beaches and an international airport which makes an ideal place to
visit to chill out. Investments
and Developments on Cape Verde: Investors visiting the island are still
arriving looking for property and again there are some bargains to be
found. Developers are either progressing with developments or for one
reason or another there is a delay with the build.
