Sao Vicente (Nov. 06)
The island is much different to Sal, with Mindelo being a large City. A number of developers are now looking to make Sao Vicente
a new tourist/holiday destination and there is much interest in investing on the island.
Like Sal, Sao Vicente will have large developments with Marinas and Golf Courses. However there are individual plots of land for sale, potential to have your own villas built or just to buy an apartment within or outside of a complex.
There are a number of colonials that sometimes come on the market in Mindelo, but again as with everything always get a lawyer to check out ownership as if the property is inherited by a number of family members, this can get complicated. Some small plots are for sale within Mindelo, but you would really need to visit the place before deciding which area you would be prepared to consider as some areas may not be suitable.
The deep waters of the port were formed by a volcanic crater. The busy port of Mindelo has attracted sea trade from the America's and Africa over recent centuries. It is now a stop off point for Cruise ships.
The areas of Baia das Gatas and Calhau which are not well populated have attracted many developers and individual investors.
