Make enquiries about prices. Book a table early, don't leave it until the last minute, otherwise you may be disappointed.

There are some restaurants and cafe's which are more popular than others, but it doesn't mean to say that some of the local places to eat aren't worth a visit.

Using this description as a guide, it may help you find your way around Santa Maria in the daytime and help you to decide whether to eat at a particular restaurant / cafe:

Beach Caravan
(it's a caravan near pier), small snacks available during day time hours.

Gelataria Sol - Doce (Pier)
: Snack Bar & Tea, Ice Cream & Crepes at pier (ponatao).

Kioske....... small kiosk offering snacks and cool drinks on the beach, next to Morabeza Beach Club.

Morabeza Beach Club.........relax and enjoy a cool drink or have a lucnchtime meal. On the beach in front of the Morabeza hotel

Cretcheu (Pier)
.......... pizza, pasta and fresh fish and other meat dishes.

Atlantis Restaurant ....... lovely breakfast and choice of food during the evenings. Situated on the beach.

La Tortuga ......... situated in blue building behind Barracuda Restaurant.

Bombay Brasserie - Opened April 17th - Situated in the Aqua Marine Shopping Mall in a small alley (between the BCA bank & Morabeza Hotel). Authentic Indian Cuisine. Specialities include tandoori dishes. Special lunch menu.

Rosticcera da Marino, Italian cafe which does spit roast chicken, pork etc and has a good selection of hams and cheese.Situated on the same road as Socol......however they have closed for the summer.
