There are a number of developments and resorts within the Cape Verde Islands, some have been built or started on the main tourist island of Sal, others are on Boavista and a few smaller ones on other Cape Verde Islands.
Unfortunately some developments were not completed, some only partly completed after running into problems and were left unfinished, while others developers have delivered their promises to investors such as The Resort Group who have a number of completed developments on the islands that have been completed and others are to be built in the near future.

2017: The Cabo Verde investments rejoice in announcing four new hotels, with the category between 4 and 5 stars, in the ZDTI de Santa Maria on the island of Sal and which will be completed by the end of the current year. Of this group are the following developments:
The "Hotel Hilton Santa Maria", promoted by the Batua SA Group, is a 5-star hotel with 240 rooms and has associated the first casino of Cabo Verde, the Royal casino. This group recently purchased the hotel Dja Sal Holiday Inn which will be demolished to make room for a new hotel.
The "Royal Decomeron Hotel", promoted by New Horizon group, will offer 560 rooms spread over two Hotels, april 1 Stars and 5 Stars we have in common support services.
The 5-star Llana Beach Hotel, with 601 suites, is promoted by the resort Group, owner of the Tortuga Beach Resort and Dunes Beach Resort, both already operating in the Sal. In the business plan of this group for the next few years there are still the Hilton Hotel on the Praia and the White Sands Resort at Boavista.
Also in the advanced construction stage is the Aparthotel "Dja Sal Villas and Aqua Park", a partnership between the Halos Group and the Turinvest SA. This venture consists of 112 apartments and will be part of the Halos Hotel whose construction should start up this year. For more on this please click here:

The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the most dynamic hotel companies in the world and a member of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, announces their very first resort on the Cape Verde island of Sal. NOTE: Although it says in the link to the article that the Radisson would be ready by the third quarter in 2019, only the ground work has been completed by June 2019!
It will feature 240 guest rooms and open its doors in third quarter of 2019.
The five-star beach resort is located on Santa Maria, the number one beach location in the country. The resort will be designed by DSA Architects with a modern minimalistic design, first of its kind in Cape Verde.
