There are some new and not so new articles within the site which will give you some idea of the changes that have occurred within the 5yrs that I have been on Sal and Cape Verde.

In 2006 there were no direct flights to Sal from the UK, but now we have three flights a week to London Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester.

There are developments taking place on a number of the islands and a new international airport opening on Sao Vicente in 2009.

The islands are still underdeveloped as regards things to do and places to go, however it still has an attraction for many people and hopefully you will read the information within this site and other material related to the islands and perhaps you will come and visit us sometime, maybe if not now, then in a few years.

Take a look at the photos within the Photo Gallery and remember, if you do come to the islands don't do all your shopping in the hotel shops, come and support our businesses in the towns and villages.
